Rabbi David's adult education plans for fall 2014

This fall I am planning to teach a course on Biblical Hebrew using the textbook Bet is for Bereshit: Hebrew for Adults Book 3 by Rabbi Linda Motzkin (UAHC Press 2004).  Tentatively, the class is scheduled to meet from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. on the 1st, 3rd and 4th (and 5th) Thursdays of each month beginning in September with a break for the Jewish fall holidays that begin this year in late September.

(An introductory course in Hebrew -- focusing primarily on the Hebrew of the syangogue service and Jewish ritual life -- using the textbook Aleph Isn't Tough:  Hebrew for Adults Book 1 by Rabbi Linda Motzkin (UAHC Press 2000) will be offered again by Chris King.  Details to be announced.)

I also plan to teach an introduction to Judaism course that will most likely meet on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 to 8:15 p.m. beginning in November and extend through spring 2015.

Other adult education offerings by me of a more limited nature, and/or other adult education offerings by other instructors, may be scheduled as well.  If you have any particular requests regarding Jewish adult education offerings, please feel free to contact me -- and stay tuned for updates here and in Temple Israel bulletins and e-mail updates.

L'shalom,
Rabbi David Steinberg
